Create a love nest

You don’t have to leave home to create a romantic get away for you and your lover. All you need is a few ideas on how to make it romantic by adding some at home decor, lighting, fun food choices.

I used Valentines Day lighting combined with some white shimmery garland I had up for Christmas. Lighting found on Amazon.Com

Focal Point

Every room has a focal point. For the living room it may be the fireplace, a bay window, or a coffee table. Pick the rooms main focal point and use it as a stand out romantic space. However, avoid over cluttering the space. Too much decor can make you lose the feeling your trying to create!

Setting the Scene

Your dining room should offer a clean sharp image! Stick with no more than a three color palette.

Nest dishes, (place a smaller dish on top of another.)

Cloth napkins tied with a ribbon

Candles Set the romance but I suggest using battery

Try using different red/white doilies found in the baking section to place under settings.

Ignite your Senses

Using your five senses sets the mood for true Romance. Try using Aromatherapy, Plug in or spray scents, or fragrant flowers such as roses, carnations, Lilacs, of Lilies. Try to keep it light though, because overpowering scents can kill any mood!

Feel the moment

Nothing tantalizes the senses more than the feel of satin or silk on ones skin! Whether you use soft rose petals or satin sheets, this is a fun romantic way to roll in the hay!

The Sounds of love

Make music part of the background stage for your romantic evening. Whether you choose soft romantic music, Jazz, Barry White, or Nine Inch Nails make it something meaningful for the both of you.
